Common questions.
Do guests need an app or an account to RSVP?
No. Each household gets its own private link. It opens an invitation page in any web browser, where guests choose Going, Maybe, or Can’t make it and, if they’re coming, how many adults and children. Until responses close, they can come back to the same link to change their answer.
Should I send the invitation by text or by email?
Use whatever reaches each household. HeadOnOver emails the invitation for you, identifying you as the host. For guests you only have a mobile number for, you tap Text invite and Messages opens on your phone with that guest’s personal link, so the text invitation comes from you. One guest list can include both.
Can guests see who else is invited?
Guests don’t see other households’ phone numbers or email addresses, and nobody is added to a group thread. Each link is personal, but anyone it’s forwarded to can open it, so private invitations work best for people you know.
Does HeadOnOver send reminders automatically?
No. Reminders go out only when you choose to send them, and only to households that haven’t answered yet. A guest gets texts from HeadOnOver only after asking for them on their invitation page, and replying STOP ends them. Read how texting works for the details.
