Headcount and food estimator
Add up the people who said yes, see how many more could come, and get a rough food count from the serving sizes you choose. Every number here is an estimate for planning, not a prediction of who will arrive.
How the estimate works
Headcount. The confirmed count adds the adults and children from households that said yes. The upper scenario adds everyone who could still come within the invitations you sent. Neither one is a forecast: we don’t apply an attendance percentage, because an invitation can cover one person or a family of five and there’s no reliable show-up rate for a private party.
Food. Portions depend on the menu, the time of day, the guests’ ages, and what else is on the table, so the tool doesn’t assume a serving size. Enter yours for one dish at a time. With a package size, it divides and rounds up to whole packages.
Extra places are a buffer you choose to cover, not a prediction that more people will arrive.
A worked example: 20 adults and 9 children said yes, and 11 more people are unresolved. Confirmed is 29 people; the upper scenario is 40. Planning pizza for the 29 confirmed people at 3 slices per adult and 2 per child is 78 slices. At 8 slices a pizza, that rounds up to 10 pizzas.
